Here’s the thing about sports: they irk me. Majorly. So rarely will you ever read about sports news in this blog. Unless, of course, we’re talking about the White Sox or Bears. Then, my friends, you may hear a thing or two about the rest of my family screaming every time either team scores a run or touchdown while I remain safely hidden up here, away from them all. Just thought I’d clarify.
I just went through a bunch of pictures my galfriends and I took over Christmas break a few weeks ago. I’m sure between the two slumber parties we had (one named Operation Santa Snuggle and the other Operation MIDGETLESS) we took somewhere between four hundred and five hundred pictures with our digital cameras. That’s not counting the videos we took. During those times, when there’s sparkling grape juice, flat irons, Phantom of the Opera, cake shaped like a snowman, and too much else to record, it’s easy to tell who are going to be your friends after high school. In my case, it’s going to be all five of them.
Straightening my hair is time consuming (it takes between two and three hours), but it’s pretty awesometastic when it’s all done. Of course, it’s a pain in the butt after a day or so, but posing for pictures is definitely a fun factor. It wasn’t even my idea to include such a task in our night long activities. Actually, it wasn’t even originally my idea to get together at all. But somehow, the first time, they all ended up at my house. I guess that just happens sometimes.
I just lost the game. AGAIN.
So I’m officially only referring to my school as “Stupid School” from now on, because it’s currently -7 degrees outside (according to my digital kitchen thermometer), and we’re all going to freeze to death. Sure, close all of the other schools due to “dangerous weather conditions.” Fine. They must not care about our health.
I’m preparing to step out into the bitter cold, just to go take a Spanish 4 and English Lit & Comp final. I think everyone has lost their sanity except for me.
