It’s a Writing Kind of Day

You won’t believe this! Ever! This got me almost too excited to see straight when I read it last night! I never thought it would ever happen, but it did! Meg Cabot wrote a blog entry about her experiences with trying to get a book published and how to get a literary agent! It was so cool. It made me want to write a novel. But I’m too preocupied with contest to kick myself hard enough to get going on one.

My school has backwards half-days. Meaning, we don’t get out early; instead we start late. Late Start Days. I like them because I get to sleep in two or three extra hours. I don’t like them because, well, something about them just bothers me. I’m not entirely sure exactly what yet. But when I figure it out, I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I can.

I’m officially about 325 pages into my journal. That’s A LOT of writing. I’m guessing I have about seventy-five more pages to go. Knowing me, I’ll be fo100_2334r sure past that by Spring Break at the end of March, if not before then. The interesting thing about it is, most of it is written in purple ink. So when you flip through the pages really fast, all you see is purple words! It gets me all excited.

I’ve decided this morning that I’m going to share a piece of a journal entry with you, just so you can get a feel for how my mind works. Now, I’m warning you; it’s a little scary. But I wouldn’t worry too much about it. There’s this thing called therapy…

I live in a dream-coated world. I drink in the time I have to escape from it all like it’s an addicting substance calling my name. I know, that was a brilliant simile. But I can’t help but feel that there’s something that I’m missing out on. I feel like there’s something that’s holding me back. There’s something that’s keeping me from being all that God created me to be. And I just wish that I knew what I could do to change that.

I wish I knew what exactly I was talking about here, because just reading this now makes no sense, even to me. This is why we should all journal. Because I wouldn’t remember how blah I was feeling on October 13th unless I had it written down somewhere. So there you go.

I promise you, not all of my entries are this depressing! I must have been uber unhappy in October.

By the way, did you like my little bit about rain yesterday? I can’t get over how hard it was to write what I was feeling. Rain is romantic to me. If anyone ever feels attracted to me enough to kiss me, I can only hope that it’ll be in the rain. But you didn’t hear that from Meg. This is Meg’s evil twin brother, Greg. He thinks that Meg is too much of a hopeless romantic to write about her own dreams reguarding romance.

Dangit, Greg! Stop hacking into my blog! I’m changing my password!

MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
