Prom Dresses & Miss Miley

My Twitter page is full of nonsensical updates. It’s kind of sad.

My homework load has been crazy this week! I’m not even exaggerating: I spent five hours on my English homework Tuesday night and STILL didn’t get it done. That’s borderline ridiculous. I mean, you would think that teachers would give their students a break every once in awhile. But, of course, they don’t. Or at least, my English teacher sure doesn’t. The short story we have to read this weekend is 20 pages long, and the print is small. I need an English vacation! I’m tired of reading about people getting shot. Seriously.

So I’m in the midst of planning yet another Operation Somethingorother with my girlfriends over the long weekend. We’re all so excited! We’re long overdue for a giant girly party. We haven’t had one of those since Christmas break, which was all the way back in December. Or did we have one in January? I don’t remember. Anyway, it’s been much too long, and I need more pictures to giggle over. Oh–and did I mention that we’re going to strut around my living room in our prom dresses? Yep, it’s pretty much going to be a night to remember. Again.

Can you believe it’s a quarter ways through March already? Time is flying by way too fast. Honestly, I’ve had my dates all mixed up for the past week. I’m a week ahead of myself and a week behind all at once. For at least forty-eight hours this week I was convinced my planner was lying to me, until I realized I was writing in the wrong week. All brunettes have blonde moments every once in awhile. Come on.

I don’t care if you don’t like Miley Cyrus; there has to be something wrong with you if you don’t like this song. It made me cry! Not only that, but it actually motivated me to do about half of the homework that I initially wasn’t planning on doing this week at all. Don’t underestimate the power of music. Words are one thing, but give them a melody and some background chords and such and you’ve got an instant tear-jerker. It’s a proven fact.

On the subject of Miley, can I just give my honest opinion? I don’t hate her. I don’t judge her for anything unneccesary she’s done. I don’t exactly approve or appreciate the way she’s acted in the past, but that stuff doesn’t make me like her any less. I love her new music. And even though she’s acting out, she’s still chasing a dream. She wanted to sing and act and such. All she needs to do is learn how to handle all of the things that potentially come with that.  And I think that anyone and everyone who have negative things to say about her should keep their comments to themselves.

That’s all I have to say.

I’m ready for a three-day weekend, for sure! One good thing about school (though there are many) is the day or two or three every year when teachers have to show up and we students don’t. It makes me laugh a little. I also feel a little sorry for them at first, but the feeling soon enough passes.

I’m wrapped in a warm blue blankie…because I don’t feel like pulling on a sweater. Its actually warmer and softer than a sweatshirt. This combined with warm and adorably amazing slippers makes a happy teenager on an almost-Friday-sort-of evening. Yay!

Did I mention I’m hungry yet in this post? No? That’s probably because I’m not. I think I had dinner an hour ago. Or was it two? I’ve lost all concept of time.

Daylight savings this weekend! Dangit!
