I’m so excited! I finally have my own Teen Ink profile! And I thought they didn’t care.
The other completely awesome thing about yesterday was that, as I was searching for a link to some site about SimCity 3000, I stumbled upon a collection of free music downloads for both of the games that I own. So now there are 24 songs on my iPod that remind me how awesome the game is. It was almost enough to make me cry. But I didn’t, because that would have seemed silly.
Congratulations to everyone who visited my blog yesterday! I got a total of 25 views in one whole day, which made me very excited. I had chocolate to celebrate–only because I haven’t gotten near that many views since January, when on one particular day, by some wacked-out miracle, I got 35. Let’s shoot for 30 today, okay? Tell your friends! If you love me, that is. And if you don’t…well….tell them anyway!
Why do people give up Facebook for lent? That’s my question of the day today. I think it’s really crazy, insane–out there! Unless you’re hopelessly devoted and possibly addicted to it like I used to be way back when. Man, was that embarrassing! Anyway, I think it’s knocking out a huge chunk of your ability to communicate with a lot of people you don’t see every day. I mean, texting and phone calls and actually seeing eachotherface-to-face is great and all, but what’s the fun of it if there’s no messaging, or status-updating, or…..SuperPoke-ing?
I despise SuperPoke.
Well, though I’m not in favor of it, I will say that I’m here to support those of you who have, in fact, given Facebook up for lent. What? What’s that? Lent ends tomorrow? Ohhhh! So you Facebook giver-up-ersonly have close to 24 hours left before you can hop back on your beloved computer and answer to those 300-something notifications you probably have? Well, forgive me for not showingmy support earlier. But just think! Y’all made it this far. One more day and you can thank God for getting you through it without any symptoms of withdrawl. Hopefully.
Since we’re on the topic of Easter, I must share with you a little about how I’m feeling this particular weekend. Tomorrow’s Easter, right? Well, normally, I would be three hours south of here, chilling at the home of my wonderful grandparents. We’d be boiling eggs right about now, getting ready to dye them sometime later in the day. And there would be Easter decorations and all sorts of fun waiting for my brother and I.
I’m stuck at home this year, for the first time in ten years, and I’m sad! Things just aren’t the same up here. My grandparents have the BEST backyard for Easter egg hunting. There’s a whole forest back there! Great for hanging hidden treasures on branches, I must say.
But I guess it’s okay. Someone once told me that you have to learn to embrace change and run with it, instead of letting it upset you. So I presume that moping around the house isn’t going to do much. So I’ll just stay in my room and make pouty faces to my puppy slippers. At least they won’t sass back to me.
Five more days until the Viking Choir list goes up. They might as well stab me with some scissors and leave me on the floor to die. But somebody might get in trouble for that, don’t you think? Well, I’m sure they wouldn’t really care. They’d find some closet to stuff me in for the time being.
Today on the schedule is nothing, with a little bit of nothing in-between the nothing that I’m not doing later in this day of nothing, until I do nothing after dinner, which could also have the potential to be nothing. So pretty much it’s full. So don’t try to make plans with me. I’m busy.
Remember! If you like me, tell your friends! If you don’t, too bad! Tell them anyway! Peace.
