This just in: my brain is completely fried. Too bad I plan on finishing all of my homework tonight so that I can use tomorrow afternoon as a do-nothing-at-all time. I’m very excited and looking forward to my do-nothing-at-all time. My novel is lonely on the doorstep.
Ready for the question of the day? Ready? I’ll give you a hint:

Did you guess yet? Yes! My question of the day has everything to do with outdated cellular devices. Question: why do I still own one?
Everyone knows that iPhones are the new awesome nowadays. Apparently, everyone except me, because my parents claim that I “don’t want one.” That is not what happened. My mother went to the cell phone store “really quick” to “get her phone fixed” and came back two hours later with my dad and iPhones for both of them. What was I supposed to do? No one warned me of this. I would have gladly stopped playing SimCity to come to heaven with them. Gladly.
I can’t do anything on my phone except text, call people, and take low-quality pictures and videos. Here my mom is, on the Internet wehile she’s sitting in the car waiting for me to get in. That’s not fair! I want the Internet on the go. I don’t have a laptop. So there has to be some sort of substitute, doesn’t there?
I also really want a laptop.
My mom is supposed to be making me macaroni and cheese. Now, some people would look at that satement and immediately label me as selfish. Maybe I am. But you have to understand something about me: I can’t cook. Things explode. Dishware cries. My cat suddenly becomes thankful for his store-bought, generic cat food. These kinds of things just do not happen unless I’m attempting to cook something.
Today I got a letter telling me that I’ve been accepted into NHS. That’s great and all; I get it. What I don’t get is why the letter said there’s a mandatory meeting next Thursday but doesn’t say where. So there’s a meeting at 7 AM. Great. Any more hints? Anyone?
My calendar is filling up with all these things I do and don’t want to do. It’s frustrating, Just when I think things are going to start winding down, they speed up again. And I’m not even finished with my testing yet. There are in fact things I need to do that don’t matter, like take a day to just do nothing. And so we return to the reason I want to tackle my homework tonight. By the way, who gives homework the week of the ACT? I don’t get it.
Then again, when do I ever get it?
