It’s Monday! Yay…

I almost reached my weekend goal. So close!

I was only about 2,000 words away from where I wanted to be by the time this morning arrived, which really isn’t that bad. I did plenty of brainstorming for the rest of the book, and I’m pretty sure I’ve got the major skeleton of it finished. I’m really excited that I’m finally getting ready to write the parts of the story that lead up to the end of the book. Most of the ideas I’ve had have completely morphed since I started writing, which is a really cool part about writing a novel. It even surprises me sometimes.

As of right now, I’m #16 in the JulNoWriMo stats. Once I type up what I plan to write in school today, I’ll have passed the two people in front of me (hopefully), putting me at #14 again. The next person to pass is over 50,000 words, which I’ll only get to today if I’m lucky. That’ll put me on the winner’s list, though I haven’t technically won yet. I’m not sure whether or not I’m going to reach my own personal goal (it depends if I can stretch the story out that much more), but the site doesn’t know the difference.

I hoped you liked the general idea of the cover I designed yesterday morning. It needs a little work (okay…a lot of work), and I’m probably going to do a bunch more once I’m actually done writing the book, for the fun of it. When that happens, I’ll be sure to show you. Your opinion matters. :)

I’m really not looking forward to school this morning. When I say really, I mean really. These past two days were pretty much amazing! I even got together with my friends from church yesterday to practice for an outreach we’re doing in August. I love those people! You have to admit, singing/playing to Jesus is ten times better when you’re with your friends. Just trust me.

I’m setting a goal for 50,000 words today. I’m not sure if I’m going to get there or not, but I’m going to try. I also have to clean my room, work on extra credit (gotta love extra points!), and watch the new episode of Secret Life. But my teacher wouldn’t give us tons of homework on a Monday when we have plenty of other things we would rather be doing in the middle of summer. Come on.

Well, I’m off (again). Have a great Monday, and remember: don’t text while you’re walking down stairs.

Love&hugs, Meg♥
