Yawn (It’s Sunday)

The heart may want, but the mind will rationalize the desire.

Yesterday was a day full of nothing—computer games, failed attempts to write, and a little bit of missing my brother. He and my dad come back sometime today, though, so the whole missing them thing should wear off within a few hours of them being home. I do, however, still miss family dinners. Love you, mama, but I can’t remember the last time I ate a piece of fruit.

We have a major problem reguarding the JulNo stats—promblem being that, when I checked my rank about five seconds ago, I realized that I’m #21, and the fact that I’ve fallen so far behind all these writers I don’t know really kind of upset me. I wish I could say it’s motivated me to write, but my brain is still tired out from all the writing I’ve done the past three weeks. So waiting a few more days won’t kill me.

I hope.

My cat has grown rather fond of eating plants lately, and his addiction to cat nip hasn’t made our hardwood floors very happy. I would send him away to drug rehab, but I would miss him too much. And besides, the only thing you have to do to keep him away from it is never let him outside alone, ever. I’m not sure I can do that, either. Every indoor kitty needs a little fresh air every now and again. As long as he stays in my lap

There are only five days of school left, and I know they’re going to go quick. Once they’re over, my real summer begins, and you couldn’t possibly fathom how much I’ve wanted that for the past five weeks. My mornings are usually my most productive time of day, and not having them has been torture beyond belief. But I get them officially back starting on the 27th. That means longer posts during the week, more time to write, and getting (finally) together with my friends during the day.

When I say “hang out,” I pretty much mean this:

We haven’t had an Operation (ultra-super-slumber-party) since Colleen’s birthday the very first week in June. It’s been terrible not being with them as much as I was during the year. But we promised we’d hang out once school ended and people got back from vacation. So I’m not worried.

I think I’m either going to try to write or play one of my brother’s video games (see how fun doing nothing is??). We apologize (we being, of course, me and my evil twin brother, Greg) for not writing about anything of wide-spread interest this morning. It’s early, we haven’t eaten in twelve or more hours, and the Wii is calling our name(s). Tomorrow will hopefully be better(ish).

Have a great Sunday, and remember: listen to your heart, but don’t act on impulse. Rationalize your desires.

Love&hugs, Meg♥
