The good news is, I don’t have much homework tonight.
The bad news is, I caught a cold. And since we all remember what happened last time I got a cold, this is not good news! (And for those of us who don’t remember, it involved sitting out of choir and dropping a competition, which made me very sad. Still does, kind of. I still feel guilty for making Jack[son] do all that practicing for nothing!) I have a teen Outreach at my church this weekend, which requires my voice, big time. So darn you, stupid germs!
So who’s excited for Glee tonight?! I AM!!!! There’s nothing better than a TV show about one of my favorite things in the whole entire world! And the pilot episode was just amazing. Pretty much anything involving the vocal arts is amazing, considering my background. I didn’t try out for my school’s “show choir,” so watching a show choir is exciting. Not only that, but Kristin Chenoweth is guest-starring in an upcoming episode. I’m such a huge fan of her. I still want to read her book. But I largely admire her vocally. Just amazing.
I finished reading the book Colleen gave me to read about three months ago, and I’m now reading A Woman in Jerusalem. I don’t really know what it’s about, since I’m about a page and a half into it, but I do know it’s a really difficult read. I can’t read it in a room full of noisy people. Using your brain when you read is a really good feeling though, and I secretly love that. I just have to find time and motivation to get through it, really. My mom’s friend gave it to me to read about a year or so ago, so I figured I should give it back soon. Not that she misses it…I don’t think. But she’s like my second mother—I’ve known her my whole life—so I’m sure she won’t mind too much.
Mehopes.
I (of course) watched the Secret Life season finale on Monday night, and I can honestly say I was a little disappointed. It seemed to me like they were trying to squeeze way too much into one last episode. I mean, Grace and her family didn’t even come in until about a quarter-ways through the show, if not halfway, and nothing much went on there—nothing that I can really remember, except her and Jack agreeing to have oral sex (it was implied, of course, that they actually did). And by the way, I hate Grace for that. And her mother for dating so soon. But I LOVED the whole thing with Ricky and Adrian! When she started telling the story about Antonio, I completely stopped hating her. And I really believe those two have something. They don’t have great morals, but the whole thing that happened with Ricky’s therapist has given me newfound hope.
And it’s totally George and Anne’s baby! Stop scaring us, dangit!
By the way, I was disappointed with the delivery. You can’t deliver a baby with one good arm—you just can’t. They could’ve at least tried to get to the hospital.
And I have completely fallen in love with Megan Park! Not because we have the same name, of course (yes, that’s my full name, roar), but because she’s so amazing. I just watched She’s Too Young (I’m easily drawn to Lifetime movies), and she was great in that. And that movie made me proud to be a virgin. Just saying.

I’m done talking about sex now. I completely promise.
I’m really sorry about posting this so late, but my Internet connection is really acting up, and I just spent the last hour trying to figure out why it went out on me (when my lovely mother paid fifty bucks to ensure it would work fine forever), until I remembered there’s another functional computer in the house. That was my second blonde moment of the day (the first was when I signed up for peer tutoring without checking my calendar first. Yikes…). I probably should be blonde. I’m just not smart enough for this burette stereotype they’ve stuck me with.
Speaking of smarts, the number of people in my class mysteriously rose from 711 to 752, which bumped my class rank down and shifted me a whole percent in the wrong direction. I’m not even going to tell you my GPA—I’m just so ashamed. That darn trig! I’m really upset that I didn’t try harder sophomore year to pass honors geometry with a C. Oh, who am I kidding? My teacher couldn’t even help me pass the tests. When it comes to numbers, I’m a stereotypical dummy. There’s nothing up there.
And then I walk into the English wing, and I can literally feel every muscle in my entire body completely relax. Same with the music building. I was born for the arts.
I think I’m going to go take some more cough medicine (it still tastes like feet. They really should do something about that) and do some reading, or editing. Have a great one, and remember: don’t be like Grace. Stay away from boys named Jack! Unless they know how to play the piano.
Love&hugs, Meg♥
