NaNoWriMo – Day 2

I didn’t die today. Isn’t that good to know?

I did, however, have my first sleep-deprivation-induced blonde moment, in which about half of my Listerine ended up on the bathroom counter. And as of now, I haven’t gotten much writing done. Probably because there was some homeork I needed to catch up on during study hall, in order to get the credit I need to keep my B. I haven’t had a chance to type and count what I did manage to write, but it isn’t a lot.

The good news is, I got another pound of Twizzlers from Cassie, a marvelous addition to the ones Evie brought over on Friday. So there are Twizzlers all over my desk, and I’m in Heaven.

Except in Heaven, I wouldn’t have homework to do.

My goal by bedtime (whenever that is—I’m not even sure anymore) is 5,000 words, which shouldn’t be too hard, considering I ended my day yesterday with around 3,500 or so. I’m not even done with Chapter 2 yet, but I’m close. Get ready, Evie, it’s a long one!

So far only about two-thirds of the characters have been introduced and/or mentioned, which is good pacing for where I want the story to go. I refuse to touch my outline, because I think it’s perfect the way it is, until I get to that part where I, um, stopped.

Other than that, I have a zillion pages to read in Pride and Prejudice and the ACT to study for (again). I feel like I’m forgetting something, but I can’t remember what. If I do, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Have a good night, and remember: whatever they tell you, massage trains are, indeed, scarring.

Love&hugs, Meg♥
