I’ve just recently updated my own personal List of 100—my famous list of things I’m determined to accomplish before I die. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to write out my life-long goals. It really makes you willing to work for what you want.
When my choir director always used to talk about The List, I would always roll my eyes, mainly because I couldn’t think of more than twenty or thirty things I wanted to do before my life was over. It wasn’t until junior year that I really realized how important—and effective—making a List can be.
One tip he always gave us was to look at it every thirty-six hours. Now, when I heard him say this the first time, I thought he was insane. But lately, I have been, and I feel more motivated to accomplish my goals than I ever have before. Now I want you to make your own List so you can be successful, too.
There is no limit to what you can put on your List. Anything you want to accomplish, you can add on with no judgement. Come on—I have “write Star Wars fan fiction novels” on my List. You can put anything you want.
It really. really works. I’m telling you. You just have to trust me on this one. The only reason I didn’t accomplish some of the things on my list was because I stopped looking at it. If you have a constant reminder of what you want to accomplish in life, then you will. At least, let’s hope so.
This List will change your life. It feels just as good to cross things off as it does to add more things on. You may have a lifetime to accomplish these things, but why wait? You never know when it’ll all be over. (As Misty says: “YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.”)
Take a look at my List if you’re stuck. Tell me some of your goals. Together, we can sit at the end of life feeling like we accomplished something.
Remember: you will not be judged. It’s your life.
Love&hugs, Meg♥
