Blog Frenzy – Day 9

Over the course of the past twenty-four hours, I learned a few things.

When you ask people for help, some of them will say no. Even if you’re just being nice, or want to feel like you’re actually accomplishing something, not everyone is going to be nice back. I have a feeling I still hold some sort of reputation back at my high school, because as soon as I walked into the TLC to tutor for the last time, everyone already seemed to have found their perfect match. And when I went to ask the last lone studious freshman if he needed help with his math, he looked up at me, gripped his calculator tightly in his hand, and said, “No.”

Cats will only sit on your lap if you’re eating tuna. It’s pretty much a proven fact. I’m always so busy these days, Domino never gets a chance to share his internal warmth with me. And with all that fur, it’s kind of unfair that he never really tries. So when I sat down to eat my tuna salad yesterday before math (which I did end up going to), he hopped right up on my lap, looked at my food, and went, “Meow.” Translation: “Share, or I’ll puke in the middle of the dining room floor again.” When I didn’t share, he hopped right back down and went straight to my mother.

Prof evaluations mean absolutely nothing. She picked the worst possible day to pass them out. And of course, she waited until the end of class. And they also can’t be in the room when we do them, so she just handed them to us and left. It was 2:55, I needed to get back to high school (scary thought), and I really don’t love or hate my professor. So I scribbled some nonsense and filled in random bubbles and got out of there as fast as I could. Leaving without filling anything out at all would have been a little too cruel, don’t you think?

And finally, the most important thing I learned yesterday:

Boys’ brains are the size of ant poop. No matter how intelligent they appear on the outside, they are possibly the most clueless creatures on this entire planet. Honestly, I don’t just go around saying things like “The overall distance between our future campuses of higher education is a lot less than either of us would have expected.” Translation: “COME VISIT ME NEXT YEAR.” But do they really pick those kinds of things up? Of course not. Not that I care. I’d never marry him, anyway.

Love&hugs, Meg♥
