I tried writing without thinking. Major fail.
Why are there so many distractions out there? Some people are smart/strong/awesome enough to avoid them, so they get all their work done on time and aren’t crazy and I’m jealous. Whenever I try to eliminate one distraction, I immediately go hunting for another one. I think I’m addicted to procrastinating, or YouTube. I keep telling you YouTube needs to die. It’s still here.
When my professor asked our class yesterday who’d started working on their career research speeches, two people out of the sixteen that were there raised their hands. And I can almost bet you that about half of them won’t start working on them until the night before they’re due. I can also bet you that I won’t be one of them. There are twenty-four speeches in total: I’m the second wave, a week from the 3rd. Joy.
My preregistration forms have to be mailed in by the 3rd, too. I’m pretty sure I can handle fifteen credit hours, especially since one of those five classes will not include math (yes). I still have some last-minute scholarship stuff to throw together so I can send it off tomorrow, if I’m lucky.
I work better under crippling stress and extreme pressure. When I have five thousand things to do—that’s when I end up getting the most done. There are weeks (take this one, for example) that I won’t get anything done. There are days that I’ll get up early and do constant work until I go to sleep sixteen hours later. I’m hoping today is one of those days. I have a lot to catch up on.
Let’s pick a career and get to work, folks.
Love&hugs, Meg♥
