The Prodigal Blogger

Greetings, cyber world!

Unfortunately, I typed out a great post yesterday while I was standing in a crowded rehearsal room for forty-five minutes, but I guess the draft didn’t save itself on my phone (or I can’t find it—either one). But I’m sure you wouldn’t really have known the difference if I would have kept my mouth shut.

For those of you out there who have been wondering, waiting and waiting, don’t fret—I am, in fact, participating in National Novel Writing Month in LESS THAN TWO DAYS! The month of November will be filled with noveling, daily blog posts, tests galore, and lots of Twizzlers. Gotta have those Twizzlers.

I know I’ve been gone for awhile, but no one said keeping up a B-average at Olivet was going to be easy. My scholarship depends solely on grades, and grades depend on me going to class, studying like a crazy person, and sleeping as much as I can. Usually, by the end of the day, I’m too exhausted even to read Harry Potter. I’d rather post something worth your time than something like, say, my last post. I’m just being honest.

I’m not really sure how I’m going to pull this off. Just this next coming week, I have three tests within a span of forty-eight hours. Maybe I won’t finish my novel in ten days, but I’m determined to get to 50,000 words, even if it means sticking to the widely accepted 1,667 words per day. I hate sticking to the minimum, but I’ll kill myself otherwise. I don’t function on four hours of sleep very well.

This year’s novel features two sad sisters, a confused basketball star, loving parents, and a brother home for the holidays. I won’t go into any more detail than that. It’s too dangerous; I’ll start typing out the whole thing right here. Bad news.

Tomorrow I will put up my Pre-NaNo post for your enjoyment. After that, it’s all about the novel.

To all you fellow Wrimos out there: get ready! This is going to be a good month.

Love&hugs, Meg<3
