I went a little crazy yesterday with the noveling. Not really on purpose, I guess; it just happened. I was trying to get ahead of Olivia, and the next thing I knew, I’d doubled my word goal for the day. Funny how that works, isn’t it?
Somehow, I still managed not to completely fail either of my tests today (actually, I think I passed them both with flying colors, at least I hope so), despite the two hours I spent writing when I could have been reading Dr. Faustus over again. I’ll let you know how I did as soon as I figure that out. An A would be nice, but I’m not making any promises yet.
I’ve realized just recently that I, Meg, am a speed writer. I can write five thousand words in one day without my brain wanting to explode, and still somehow manage to do my homework. I’ve tried to limit myself to the minimum amount of words per day during this thing (NaNo), but I can’t do it. I’m addicted, I tell you. My hands shake with withdrawal. Is that bad?
It makes me feel better, pulling a little bit ahead of the minimum. I mean, just in case I can’t write very much at some point this month (like the night before my sociology test next week, the one I am determined more than you could ever hope to comprehend to get an A on). I’ve also noticed that it’s hard to stay up late and write. I just get tired, and Cranergy just doesn’t seem worth it.
Before I fly away (to write some more, and start working on my Christian Formation study guide), let me give a shout-out to the best mommy in the whole entire world! She is a very busy lady, and probably doesn’t have time to read this, but if she is, I LOVE YOU! Hopefully tomorrow I can blog about what she read in the newspaper the other day. It’s good stuff.
Until tomorrow: Practice safe lunch. Use condoments.
Love&hugs, Meg<3
