Word count: 18,565.
As you may or may not know, I accomplished many things today. I woke up, ate breakfast, took a shower, packed, got cleared for preregistration for the spring, officially declared two minors, sent a thousand e-mails (like, literally), had a very productive and warm lunch, went to class, spent quality car time with my roommate, and stole candy from my brother, who is eleven, not a baby.
I am completely failing, however, at my desired word count for the end of today. Which is soon.
There are too many things to do this weekend: sociology, make a Christmas list for my mom, make a Mexican dish something-or-other for my grandma’s 2011 calendar, finish the third Harry Potter book (I know, I’m like, extremely behind), write my Christian Formation paper, read some C.S. Lewis, hang out with Evie, get as close as I can to 30,000 words, and spend time with my kitty cat.
And text Olivia. Can’t forget to text Olivia.
I wish I had more energy to accomplish all of these things before tomorrow night. Since I’m not super human, and I don’t have eight arms, and sleep is pretty much necessary for my sanity and ability to function, this is not a very likely occurrence. Part of me wishes that I wasn’t home right now. It’s very distracting, it makes me tired, and all I want to do is play Sonic the Hedgehog with my brother. But the only reason I’m here is so I can give Evie her TOTALLY AWESOME SECRET PRESENT before her birthday on Monday.
Yeah, Evie. You’d better feel loved.
Speaking of Evie, the similarly-named character in my book likes sweet things a little too much, and her brother’s girlfriend Amy a lot less. Her sister’s trying to keep it all together, of course. After all, isn’t that her job?
Must. Get. To. Twenty. Thousand. Words.
Love&hugs, Meg<3
