I got a text from my best friend this morning. It made me so happy I wanted to explode into an endless supply of rainbow confetti and rain back into her life.
But the day it’s going to take me to shed all of the weight I’ve been carrying since Wednesday afternoon before I can finally take her back into my open arms is going to be the longest one I’ve ever had.
But it will be worth it.
I really do deserve it after all.
