A week from today, I’ll be waking up in my new campus apartment, and it will be the best sunrise I will ever have observed. I have a balcony. I’m pretty sure it faces east.
There are no words to describe my current elated state. There are, sadly, people in this world who think they can drag other people down to their level of dissatisfaction, that think the past rules the future and that the present should be wasted dwelling on worldly things unchangeable.
They can’t hurt me, or destroy me. I’m stronger than that. I’m better than that.
Love, therefore, is just as powerful as everyone claims it to be.
