That’s the attitude of Nikki Queen from my not-published-yet novel, until she realizes that if she doesn’t quit trying to be Sidney, she’s not going to make it very far in life.
I’m not trying to be someone else. The problem is that I’m trying to be me, or at least who I think I should be. I refuse to let this knock me down, though (I’m just that determined, or stubborn). I’m still going to write for fun, spin my flag, and watch old Gilmore Girls episodes on my laptop.
I’m not going to let insanity kill me.
Too many have before.
