I’m sitting on my couch under a pink fuzzy blanket, drinking coffee and trying to decide if I want to get any more studying done before I head off to my 9:00 class. I would love to say that I’m prepared for all that this week will throw at me, but let’s be honest here: college is mean. It teaches us about life and about ourselves by throwing us into a thousand different simultaneous directions without asking permission first. It’s the best thing for us, but that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be a nice stroll up and down the beach (if only).
That wasn’t a subtle complaint about the weather here, if that’s what you’re thinking. It was almost 50 degrees when I woke up this morning. I’m okay with this.
This isn’t the kind of week I can just drag myself through and hope I make it out alive. With a presentation and test to prepare for, a major assignment and multiple articles for different mediums due, and of course social interaction and worthwhile workouts to keep me on my toes, I’m booked solid. No lunch breaks for this girl (except with Sarah, because she’s awesome).
Pretty Little Liars tomorrow night is my one and only break. I will cling to it for dear life.
I definitely deserve some Starbucks when this week ends.
